Beams mac menu bar app requires notification permissions to remind you when a meeting is starting and a focus session is ending, a focus break is starting/ending.

You can check and verify if the permissions are properly set or change them at any time.

  1. Click the Apple symbol in your OS X menu bar and open System Preferences.

  2. Choose Notifications on the side menu (MacOS 13) Security & Privacy and ****enable beams notifications.

  1. If you are using older MacOS versions (<13.0): Choose Notifications.
  2. In notifications select beams app on the side menu, and toggle allow notifications

Once the Notifications permissions are enabled, you will be able to receive reminders for your meetings.
